If you're aged between 14 and 21 and have an interest in and/or experience of mental health issues, then we want to hear from you! The Mentality Project is about young people taking on a leadership role within OTR and working on campaigns to raise awareness among young people of mental health and mental health issues. You get all your expenses paid, access to great training and social events as well as play a leading role in shaping the work of OTR! Volunteer as a Counsellor

We offer voluntary opportunities for both qualified and student counsellors. Please note, you will at least need to be in the third/final year of a recognised professional diploma/qualification, and have counselling hours already behind you. Experience working with young people in a related capacity is also an advantage. We provide clinical and peer supervision as well as quarterly training and your expenses.

Fortunately for us, we get many more applications than we can satisfy. We are though always glad to hear from you and grateful for your interest in volunteering with us. If you would like to discuss any aspect of this role please contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Volunteer as a Trustee

If you have the time and energy to spare and want to be part of an organisation that ‘thinks differently’ to make a difference you could become a trustee. Being a trustee for us is about more than attending Board meetings and the rewards (although not financial) are substantial.

Off the Record (Bristol) trustees meet four times a year, usually on Monday evenings between 7.00pm and 9.00pm to fulfill their responsibilities for financial and strategic governance. Between meetings, trustees can be involved at whatever level suits them, from volunteering in activities, budget management, fundraising, policy development and staff support. We’re especially interested in recruiting trustees with experience (personal or professional) of children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing.
