Climbing is a great way to look after your mental health. It offers the chance to be physically active but also do lots of problem solving and socialising all at the same time!

As more and more research comes out around how climbing can support people with depression and anxiety we’re partnering with The Climbing Academy to bring you a chance to experience the sport for yourself.

Climbing is great for challenging yourself, improving your confidence and feeling fit and bouldering is great for exercise, mindfulness and connection. We’d love you to join us!

The sessions will have some taught climbing instruction from a TCA (The Climbing Academy) coach, we’ll use climbing games to explore different aspects of mental health and relationships and there will be time for a bit of a scramble around as well.

Sessions will take place at The Mothership, The Climbing Academy in St Phillips for 8 weeks starting Thursday 27th January. This is for young people aged 16-25.

About The Climbing Academy

The Climbing Academy’s passion for climbing inspired them to develop climbing walls that enable anyone and everyone to access the sport and develop the next generation of climbers. The Climbing Academy started in Bristol in 2008 when The Mothership opened. We delivered on their vision to build a bouldering wall that would appeal to as many people as possible, giving them the opportunity to take part in what they think is the best sport in the world.
