7.45 – 9pm
For parents/carers of 11-25 year olds
Starts September – details to follow!
Resilient Parenting is a six week psychoeducational group for parents/carers exploring the factors that contribute to resilience and how we can strengthen them. The project aims to support parents/carers to build their own resilience by providing an informal discussion space with a focus on self care. Sign ups are currently closed, but will open again in the future.
Within the group you will learn about how stress affects us, explore common thinking traps that we all fall into, take part in activities and build relationships that strengthen wellbeing, and understand the importance of identifying and focusing on strengths. There will be space for you to learn the tools and then the option of trying them out with your young people.
Who is it for?
Parents/carers of 11-25 year olds who live in Bristol or South Glos who would like time to reflect on their own ability to manage stress and adversity and learn some tools and techniques to support them in doing this.
When is it?
Wednesday evenings on Zoom from 7.45-9pm. There will be a maximum of 12 parents in the group and two facilitators.
We understand that family life can be chaotic and would ask, in order to get the most from this group, you are in a room where you can talk as freely as possible if you choose to.
