Contract type: 12 month training post - with extension to permanent upon successful completion of the qualification
We are recruiting six new training roles within the Children and Young People’ Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme (CYP IAPT). As part of a national initiative to place Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHP’s) in schools, OTR along with Avon Wiltshire Partnership Trust (AWP) will be working in partnership to develop and implement these roles across the local area.
The post-holders will be part of the Mental Health Schools Team (MHST) delivering, under supervision, high-quality; outcome-informed, focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties. The training and service experience will equip the post holders with the necessary knowledge, attitude and capabilities to ensure that children and young people will have access to high quality, evidence based mental health support.
OTR will support young people who are aged 11 + with a focus on secondary schools. We are keen to ensure that young people from all communities are able to access this support and therefore welcome applications from wide and diverse applicants in order to have a workforce that reflects the community.
